Heather Acker
Heather Acker, co-owner and Director of Business Development at ConnexionWorks, co-founded the pioneering collaborative workspace in 2013, transforming it into a vibrant hub for startups and small businesses. Beyond her role at ConnexionWorks, Heather actively contributes to community development through her positions on the Saint John Regional Chamber and Uptown Saint John boards, as well as hosting “What Matters Most” on Rogers TV. Honored with the Passion for Change Award and the Excellence in Collaboration Award, Heather recently secured $472K to enhance ConnexionWorks’ programs. Her extensive network and commitment to entrepreneurship make her a distinguished choice as the MC for the UCOF Event 2024.

Chidiogo Ezenwaka
Chidiogo Ezenwaka is a distinguished HR professional with a robust background in corporate law. She earned her LL.M. from the University of Lagos and holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management from NBCC. Chidiogo's expertise lies in employee engagement and advocacy, where she leverages her unique skill set to foster impactful and memorable experiences.
Notably, Chidiogo recently served as the Master of Ceremonies at the UCOF Fall Fashion Festival in Fredericton, showcasing her exceptional presentation and public speaking skills. Her ability to captivate and connect with diverse audiences highlights her distinctive talent and makes her a prominent figure in her field.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Chidiogo is deeply committed to community engagement and the fashion industry. She is passionate about exploring various cultures and backgrounds, which enhances her capacity to relate to individuals from all walks of life. Matilda Ogunleye
Matilda Ogunleye is a seasoned media professional with over 15 years of extensive experience in media production, including radio, television, film, and event management. Known affectionately as Tilly, she served as the Official Compere for Africa's largest beauty tradeshow, The Makeup Fair Series, for over a decade and has hosted numerous corporate and social events. In addition to her professional achievements, Matilda is committed to community service, actively volunteering in school programs and her church's music ministry.

Wenzhu He
Wenzhu He, known as Wen, brings a wealth of international experience to her role, having lived in Canada, Australia, the UK, Thailand, and China. With a deep expertise in language, culture, media, and communications, Wen is dedicated to celebrating cultural diversity and building bridges across various communities. Her commitment to the arts and cultural exchange is evident in her role as co-MC for the "United Colours of Fashion" event, where she returns for the second year to lead audiences through an engaging celebration of fashion and creativity.

Yetunde Adenaiya
Yetunde Adenaiya is a distinguished Mistress of Ceremonies with extensive experience in hosting high-profile events and awards. Renowned for her commanding presence and engaging delivery, Yetunde leverages over two decades of expertise in strategic human resources and business leadership to create impactful event experiences. She excels in developing and executing effective people management strategies while upholding corporate governance and ethical practices. Her professionalism and charisma ensure both memorable and seamless events.
Yetunde holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the United Kingdom and a Master’s degree in Organizational Management from Crandall University in Moncton, New Brunswick, which further enhances her leadership skills and strategic insight.

The Moonlight Dance Group, located in Saint John, skillfully blends traditional Chinese dance with contemporary elements to create captivating performances. Kaima Eruokwu
Kaima Eruokwu is an exceptionally talented musician and student at Saint John High School, whose deep-rooted passion for music has been evident from a young age. Over the past six years, Kaima has meticulously developed her trumpet skills and is a distinguished member of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra. Her experience performing behind the scenes with various bands has ignited a desire to take center stage, leading her to explore vocal performance.
Though she is relatively new to singing, Kaima has swiftly established herself, earning roles in musicals and other vocal showcases. Alongside her burgeoning performing career, she is an aspiring writer, currently working on her own musical, which she aims to present before her graduation. Kaima's interests also extend to modeling and acting, reflecting her diverse artistic pursuits.

T-Rex
Anthony Onyewadume, also known as T-Rex Dah Wordsmith, is a distinguished artist in Hip-Hop and Afrobeats. His musical journey began at the age of six, inspired by his father’s involvement in a police band. Originating from Onitcha-Olona in Delta State, Nigeria—a hub for musical talent—T-Rex continues the legacy of his vibrant hometown.
T-Rex has collaborated with prominent producers such as Super-soniq, Dr. Frabz, and Wizzypro, among others. His collaborations fuel his creative output, resulting in innovative music that crosses genre boundaries. Alongside his musical career, T-Rex is dedicated to social responsibility, advocating for artists to use their platforms to drive positive change.
Known for his precision in songwriting, T-Rex earned the title "the wordsmith" for his meticulous approach to crafting impactful lyrics. His influences include Afrobeats pioneers like Fela Kuti and Hip-Hop legends such as The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur.
With a dynamic stage presence, exceptional freestyling skills, and a mission to entertain and inspire, T-Rex Dah Wordsmith is set to make a lasting impression on the global music scene.

Mridul Tiwari
Mridul Tiwari is a talented and passionate young performer with a deep-rooted dedication to dance. From an early age, he has cultivated his dynamic skills, and presented an electrifying solo performance featuring three energetic pieces: "Deva Shree Ganesha," "Har Har Shambhu," and "Go Go Govinda." Each song celebrates different deities with fervor and divine energy.
In addition to his prowess in dance, Mridul is a versatile artist who excels in sports such as soccer, basketball, and cricket, and is also skilled in playing the clarinet. His enthusiasm for movement and rhythm is evident in his performances, where his commitment and talent come to life. Melanie Nagbe is a senior member of M.A.P. (Making Africa Proud), a distinguished dance, drum, and drama group based in Fredericton, NB. Originally from Côte d'Ivoire, Melanie is renowned for her exceptional talent, boundless energy, and bilingual proficiency. Her dynamic and captivating dance performances consistently leave audiences in awe. With her unique and vibrant dance style, Melanie embodies the group's mission of celebrating African culture year-round.

TJ Sax
Tejiri Emore, professionally known as TJ Sax, is a distinguished saxophonist celebrated for his remarkable contributions to the music industry over the past 15 years. With an extensive performance history spanning Nigeria, the United States, and Canada, TJ Sax is renowned for his distinctive approach to popular music genres, including jazz, Afro beats, and classical R&B.
Currently, TJ Sax is furthering his musical expertise through studies at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.

Josue Arce
A multifaceted artist with a deep passion for both photography and music, he was actively engaged in musical pursuits from a young age, performing with various bands in his hometown. His dedication and talent led him to develop a distinctive style that seamlessly integrates traditional and modern sounds.
His main performances include:
"Morenita Verde Luna": A Peruvian polka with a vibrant rhythm and strong Spanish influence, capturing the festive and joyful essence of popular Peruvian music.
"Cariñito": An iconic cumbia from his native country, known for its energetic and emotive qualities, and celebrated as a classic in tropical music.

Sharon Oyebode
Sharon is an aspiring model and a first-year student at UNB Fredericton. As part of her Empowered Strides Project, she created a TED Talk–style presentation titled "Who Are You?" to share her journey of embracing her unique identity.
In this video, Sharon explores the powerful idea that identity isn’t defined by the labels society assigns us, but by how we choose to define ourselves. Her message encourages others to step into their own truth with confidence and authenticity.

David Ojodun
David Ojodun is a dynamic saxophonist and student at Harbour View High School, whose musical sound blends jazz, soul, and contemporary grooves. From an early age, he was drawn to the saxophone’s expressive possibilities, studying both classical technique and improvisation. Over the years, he has performed at various gatherings, such as Thanksgiving events, musicals, and band concerts, and has collaborated with groups like the NEBS (New Estate Baptist School) Orchestra in Nigeria. He is known for his warm tone, melodic sensibility, and ability to move seamlessly between lush ballads and adventurous improvisations.

As part of his Empowered Strides Project, David performed a moving rendition of “Mary, Did You Know?” that showcased his emotional phrasing and rhythmic dialogue. His performances aim to create both moments of introspection and bursts of energy, weaving the saxophone into a narrative that highlights mood, groove, and storytelling.

Emmanuel Ojodun
Emmanuel Ojodun is a student at Princess Elizabeth School and a compelling lyricist and performer whose style bridges conscious rap, storytelling, and rhythmic flow. Drawing from his personal journey, community insight, and cultural influences, his lyrics explore themes of identity, social issues, resilience, and hope. On stage, Emmanuel commands attention; his voice is clear, his cadence intentional, and his energy deeply engaging.

As part of his Empowered Strides Project, Emmanuel created and presented a set of original tracks and a collaborative rap piece titled “Empowered for Life.” The work reflects his message of hope, encouraging others to understand that first impressions can shape one’s path and to carry confidence and purpose in all they do. His performance combines tight rhyme schemes, rhythmic interplay, and moments of spontaneity. Emmanuel seeks to move listeners not only with his words but also through his presence, inviting reflection, connection, and elevation through rhythm and meaning.

Shilomide Odunlami
Shilomide Odunlami is a dynamic and passionate singer who discovered her love for music at a young age. Since then, singing has been an integral part of her life. One of the songs that deeply resonates with her is “Scars to Your Beautiful.” During a time when she struggled with self-doubt and concern about others’ opinions, this song became a source of hope and affirmation. It reminded her that true beauty lies in being authentic , a message she now shares with the world through her music.
As part of her Empowered Strides Project, Sharon performed this song at the grand finale of the 2025 UCOF Fall Fashion Festival in Saint John.

The Qipao group showcases Chinese ancient fashion shows featuring Hanfu, the traditional attire of the Han Chinese. These are regularly held in China and around the world to celebrate and promote Chinese culture and the growing Hanfu industry. These showcases highlight iconic styles from various dynasties, including the Han, Tang, Song, and Ming, illustrating the evolution, elegance, and cultural richness of traditional Chinese clothing through the ages.

Sumana Podder
Sumana Podder, originally from Bangladesh, moved to Canada in December 2024 embarking on a new journey filled with dreams and hopes. Before moving, Sumana was a respected university faculty member for 15 years in Bangladesh.
Her participation in the UCOF Fall Fashion Festival marked a deeply personal milestone. Having never learned to dance before, Sumana courageously performed a traditional “Chakma dance," a cultural expression from one of Bangladesh’s largest Indigenous groups. Her performance, set to a romantic Chakma song, celebrated love, beauty, and nature’s harmony. She wore the traditional Chakma attire, “Pinon-Hadi,” a handwoven dress created by Chakma women using vibrant color combinations. Through her performance, Sumana not only showcased her heritage but also embodied the spirit of resilience, cultural pride, and lifelong learning.
