United Colours of Fashion Inc. (UCOF NB. Inc.) is an incorporated non-profit established in 2021 to empower immigrants and visible minority groups who face barriers to vocational training, education, employment, and entrepreneurship. UCOF addresses the economic, social, and cultural needs of participants from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds by providing inclusive, skills-based programs and mentorship opportunities. The organization also offers a unique platform for aspiring designers, artists, and models to showcase their talents and pursue their passion in the fashion industry—culminating each year in the UCOF Fall Fashion Festival, where emerging creatives present their work alongside established designers and retailers.
United Colours of Fashion Inc. is committed to empowering its diverse community by helping them overcome barriers through fashion, cultural, and artistic expression, delivered through its three core programs:
-
Training & Mentorship: Empowering designers through tailored sewing workshops, flexible modeling sessions for models, and personalized mentorship programs for artists, all geared towards nurturing their skills, confidence, and professional growth.
-
Community Showcases: Highlighting diverse talent through the vibrant annual multicultural fashion festivals across Atlantic Canada, fostering inclusion, cultural pride, and community engagement.
-
School Outreach Projects: Engaging K–12 students with dynamic programs that inspire creativity, teach vocational skills, and promote cultural awareness and youth empowerment.
